The Kotara High School Behaviour Support and Management Plan has been collaboratively developed to support the consistent management of student behaviour at Kotara High School in order for students to succeed academically and socially in a positive learning environment. The policy is underpinned by the Student Behaviour Policy, Behaviour Code for Students, Detention and time-out procedures, Suspension and Expulsion Procedures, implemented by the Department of Education in 2024.
School Behaviour Support and Management Plan
Central to the policy are our three expectations:
Be prepared: Students attend class and school-based initiatives on-time with the necessary equipment and a positive attitude.
Be engaged: Students participate in lessons to the best of their ability and seek support when required to meet their educational needs.
Be respectful: Students interact positively with each other and staff and value others’ right to learning and safety.
The following posters are visible in all learning spaces around Kotara High School to clearly define what our expectations look like in practice.
