On Tuesday 4th November Kotara High School held a charity event raising money for research into Prostate Cancer and Men's Mental Health through Movember. As a part of the event there was a students versus teacher basketball game. The students were allowed to select 2 representatives from each year (one boy and one girl). The staff team was made up of willing ( or not so willing ) volunteers, whose best basketball was behind them.
Students gathered in their Mexican attire and their 'Moustaches' to cheer the protagonists. The students soon asserted their authority over the teachers team and the half time cheer girls organised by Ms Dalton and her Aerobics team were a welcome respite.
The final score was a a healthy win to the kids. Daniel Nilsson did an outstanding job calling the game and has a future in sports commentating.
The day was a wonderful success raising $1089. Thanks must go to Mr Bryce Blackmore for all of the effort he put into organising this event. There are some photo in the photo gallery.
