Bonjour! Everyone here in the Language department welcomes you all back for another exciting year. Some things have changed over the last year, while others stay the same and the Language department is no different. We bid farewell to Sue Crowe and wish her well in the future. At the same time we welcome Jill Wagner who joins us from Cardiff High School.
Continuing with change students at the school have several new options for study; there is now a year 9 French course running and the newly senior year 10s try several different languages in the European Languages and Culture course. Here they study French, German and Italian to help provide them with a taster of the possibilities available to them in the future.
This year the faculty is taking a group to Japan over the April holidays, providing the students with an excellent chance to use their language skills in the real world. These excursions are organised by Liza Fitzmaurice.
A reminder to all the students attending and their parents; the next meeting for the Japan Tour will be on the 31stof March at 7pm in A block of the school. Please make sure all payments and paper work is completed ASAP.
