Course Description: Year 8 Mathematics
This course continues the development of knowledge, skills and understandings established in Year 7. There are five main areas of study; Number, Patterns and Algebra, Data, Measurement and Space and Geometry. Working Mathematically processes are embedded in the content of each area and focus on Questioning, Applying Strategies, Communicating, Reasoning and Reflection.
The emphasis is on the understanding of mathematics as well as process.
