Course Description: Year 10 Stage 5.3 Mathematics
The 5.3 Mathematics course in Year 10 continues the work covered in Year 9. It concentrates on harder topics, many of which lead in to concepts treated in years 11 and 12 in Mathematics and Extension 1 mathematics. There are 5 main areas of study; Number, Patterns and Algebra, Data, Measurement and Space and Geometry. Working Mathematically processes are embedded in the content of each area and focus on Questioning, Applying strategies, Communicating, Reasoning and Reflection.
