Course Outline
Stage 4 Geography incorporates learning related to the interaction of human and physical geography in a Global context. Students will develop an interest in and informed responsible attitudes towards people, cultures, societies and environments.
In 2014 as KHS, half of Year 7 will be completing the entire Stage 4 Geography course, and the other half will complete the History course. In Year 8 students will study the subject NOT done in Year 7.
The Stage 4 Course addresses four main focus areas with skills embedded in the program:
4.G1What is Geography? Geographical skills, World Heritage sites.
4.G2Global Environments with an emphasis on world deserts.
4.G3Global Change Globalisation and Global Inequality
4.G4Global Geographical Issues Habitat loss and Endangered Species.
A student centred learning activity.

All tasks will go toward the final assessment. There will be time allocated in class for all tasks, any tasks not completed within the allocated time frame will need to be completed at home. All tasks are available for downloading on the school website.
