Practical Lessons
The focus in Year 7 is on the development of practical skills in the physical activities being studied. As a result most practical assessment involves either teacher observation or an in-class set task designed to allow students to show their level of skill in that activity. Marking of performance and participation are based on the Kotara High School PDHPE Marking Guidelines.
Theory Lessons
Again some tasks are assessed in-class and through teacher observation but some tasks also require students to complete work at home.
Year 7 Yearly Assessment Schedule (doc, 36 KB) gives students an overview of all a tasks which need to be completed during the year. Approximate due dates are provided that will give a guide as to when tasks are due. Students will be given specific due dates by their teacher and these may vary from class to class as each class may progress through the course at different rates.
The following tasks are the tasks which students will need to complete at home.
