Parents and students are encouraged to check the information below to:

  • find out which topics are being studied by which classes at the moment.
  • see if there is an assessment task due soon.
  • see if there is a knowledge test coming up.
  • view / print copies of homework sheets for particular topics (perhaps they have been lost or eaten by the dog?)

Check the school calendar on this site to see if any tasks are due.

Year 7

Please consult the  to view our topics for 2015. This file has details of the topic order and the teachers of each Year 7 class.

The order of the topics for 2015 is:

  • Changes (Term 1)

We will complete one unit per term. Each term has a Term Test (includes knowledge, processing and analysing data and communication skills) towards the end of term. Students will also be assessed in Practical Skills, Processing and Analysing Data and Communicating Scientifically via a series of formal and informal methods throughout the term. Most tasks are completed in class but some are scheduled for completion at home. Check the At-home Assessment Tasks. Each topic has four Homework Assignments which are to be completed on a fortnightly basis (usually due in Weeks 3, 5, 7 and 9).

Our Zoo excursion went very well thanks to some wonderful organisation by Mr Blackmore and Mrs Couper AND a special thank you to the parents who came along and helped with supervision on the day. We have had some excellent feedback from the bus company regarding the behaviour of the students.

Year 7 students currently have an assessment task to complete. They are required to do some research on an endangered species of their choice and submit the results of the research in the form of a short (2 minute) video presentation. The due date for this task has not yet be decided, but students should have started by now. Different classes have different due dates. See At-home Assessment Tasks for more detailed information. Mr Stone's students (7SCK) have their submission due on June 3rd.
